Leading AI developers including Google Nvidia and openai have agreed to participate in a public assessment of their AI systems. The meeting emphasized the importance of regulation in the Biden Administration has expressed a willingness to establish new regulations in support new legislation to manage AI technology.

While on the topic of AI regulation the competition markets Authority in the UK has announced that it will conduct a review of an artificial intelligence Market with a particular focus on chatbot technology. This review will assess the opportunities and risks associated with AI and consider whether competition rules and consumer protections are necessary. While 911 calls were not affected the computer assisted dispatch system used to help firefighters respond to emergency calls had issues and had to operate manually. According to the city the attack only had a limited effect on the delivery of city services and they were actively working with vendors to isolate and remove the ransomware from infected servers. The city did not disclose any further Financial demands or further information about the attack though.
