Hi again, everyone here the headlines for January 31st. First up Japan and another ones have reached a deal to restrict the export of Chip manufacturing technology to China. This agreement comes after a long period of pressure from the United States the curb China's growth in domestic chip production the US introduced similar limits in October of last year amidst concern that access to Advanced semiconductors could increase China's military and AI power with all this being said though, the agreement is yet to officially be declared.
It may take several months to finalize legally. The main company that is impacted by this is asml the sole producer of ultraviolet lithography machines crucial for the production of advanced semiconductors, which China accounted for roughly 15% of the company sales in 2022. Additionally, the restrictions are also expected to affect the Japanese companies such as Nikon and Tokyo electron.
Next Microsoft GitHub and openai have Ashley San Francisco Court to dismiss a proposed class action lawsuit that alleges they use licensed code without permission to build github's AI tool co-pilot claiming the allegations lack credibility and are based on hypothetical events. Microsoft and GitHub argued that co-pilot does not harm public code. It actually benefits developers by providing suggestions based on information learned from public code.
The hearing to dismiss the lawsuit is scheduled for May and despite. The legal challenge. Microsoft is still committed to its partnership with openai and is exploring incorporating AI into its products such as word PowerPoint and Outlook.

NASA's teams have analyzed the data from the mission to confirm its success stating that the SLS systems performed.

The denial also raises skepticism about the possibility of crypto banking.
