Techstrong News Recap – February 27, 2023

Hi again, everyone here the headlines for February 27th. First up Baidu. One of the largest search in AI companies in China has revealed its plan to incorporate its AI chat bot Ernie into search Services starting in March.

The chatbot will be used in all aspects of baidu's business including search in Cloud search Services Smart Car operating systems and smart speakers. However, those in support of the bills say will allow for more fair compensation for journalists. The bill has been passed by the Canadian House of Commons and will be examined by the senate in the upcoming months.

In other news the European Union's executive branch has temporarily banned tiktok from phones used by employees due to concerns over the video sharing apps security and data privacy. The corporate management board is suspended tiktoks use on devices issued to staff or personal devices that staff use for work is what they are calling a cyber security measure. The band follows similar moves in the US.
