Okay, because we're not doing this first time right? So no, I know I Do a lot of people Victor is a friend of ours, but he also works in Kong. Sometimes he works in Florida.

I guess last time it was like reinvent or something like that. We yeah Vegas. Yeah, let's take it.

Yeah now in Europe, I like I love Amsterdam. I had a good we've been having a great. Week here today, right?

Yes and Sunday nice. And so I've had a good time. Victor Look not everyone your friends with us.

You're not friends with everyone out here and Victor gamoff developer. Look at the conk talking about all things connectivity microservices. And I don't I've been in Amsterdam actually for like over almost like a 10 days now.

Oh, really? They conference the week before kotlin con they all doing this in the Amsterdam. I was speaking there about like microservices called Kafka all the things and quite enjoyed Amsterdam myself.

It's my like Second time but the first time when I actually can't go and see the city the usually people saying oh like you travel a lot for the for the for your job. And I was like, yeah, but like I see convention centers in airports and all this kind of things. You know now I had the chance to see the city.

So I'm enjoying this as well. You know what? That is something I Victor I I discovered this years ago.

I was tired of just knowing what the hotels in the Conference Centers look like and I always stay an extra two three days. Just for that reason to get to know the city and then sometimes I'll go to other cities nearby because how often are you out this way? Right?

So if you're in Amsterdam go see Rider them. Yeah, right or go. I mean you're in Europe like there's a jump on a plane a train and go to Prague.

Yeah, or you know anywhere, but yeah, it's a really nice thing anyways, but It's nice that we're telling about our personal. Yeah, well and experiences. Let's talk a little bit about what Congress got going on here and keep on this year.

Yeah, actually this year. We have some big announcements around our managed platform for managing the like API in the cloud API platform in the cloud and specifically around kubernetes like corn Grunts and kubernetes in like a natively like for many years. We have an Ingress controller that from kubernetes native configurations into Quantum configuration.

So your apis that runs inside Community will be exposed. Now, we wanted to provide like a unified way how you can also govern all this kind of things and the platform for doing. This is the Quan connect manager service that is controlling and collecting all sorts of information about your apis displaying the nice way.

There's like service hop where your services are published. Developer portal where the consumers of apis can get this get access and all things around. Say how you can enable.

Developers to get like a developer keys and things like that. So basically a platform for building your own like API platform. I love it.

You've been working. Well, you've been in Amsterdam, but you know today was kind of the first day. Yeah, that's What's your impressions?

What are you seeing? What are you hearing? Yeah, so a lot of questions actually coming from from the users of Gateway API, which is essentially kind of replacement or like a next generation of kubernetes Ingress.

And so many people come in and asking like for support of this and we were like a spearheading this for a while because one of the engineers that works at Collins. It's the part of the special interest group about networking. Like or Gateway API essentially changes the way how the people approach exposing the services to outside of kubernetes.

HTTP route TCP route grpc route is going into Alpha. It also mode of the API and it's quite nice. So you don't have to kind of like I put some annotations on top of your standard in Grass.

You just have a jervisor out this your service that runs inside kubernetes and it will be available through you know, manage or unmanaged Gateway managed Gateway. Essentially the one that will be provisioned on demand and unmanaged is that like, you know, it's already available there which is configuring this unmanaged Gateway. Excellent Man Let me throw your curve.

Yeah. So look, you can't walk more than three feet without talking about AI today. Yeah.

how do you think AI fits into some of the stuff you're doing at Kong and so saying that's very good question and like show me that company that didn't feel what they're like a product roadmap by not including some like API stuff one of the things that I start using. Is to showing how you can you know get access to the like open AI apis via account in specifically. They have a different models.

That you can run your text generations and some of the models are based on the price. And the price is based on the knowledge. So they have a say DaVinci model was quite sophisticated model before gpt4 was released.

Yeah, and before that there was like a query model that is a little bit. Less smart, let's put this way, but it was cheaper. And like in order to like companies to use this API.

You can have different tiers that you know that people can use and API Gateway helps to you know, put this API economy things in front of this. So one of the things that I showed how to people can have say for production use case you can use the Vinci which is gonna be more expensive. So you have a different API key to do this and how we can figure in your organization or for developing use cases.

You can have like a Curie model, you know, it works for some of these cases gives the, you know, some of the answers faster even faster and you can configure this how the different people in organization can access to those apis. but of course one of the things that we trying to look in future is to improve our documentation or maybe even have some sort of like a boat that will be answering some of the second flow questions or answering Questions the problem is that means you've got to upload that information into the gpg. Yeah.

And then who knows you know what people will do with it? Yeah, so I think there's a again it's also we're going into interesting topic about like API monetization and API economy. So when you're using like with the chat the application this application itself is research project so they can do whatever they want of this data.

But if you doing this through API There's a strict slates what they share with what they not share and like having the, you know, the tools around API and how you can you know use their API within your organization by you know, fronting this with the API Gateway. You do transformational requests make sure that some of the data will not leak you will be able to do this and with the with the with the API Gateway to transform the request strip out some of the data that you don't want to land in the only open API. so it's it's great for us as a provider of tools to to have another very very big player in API world and we can you know show how we can work this.

with the Gateway speaking of API. I don't know if you saw the news today Akamai. But an API security company Neo sec.

I don't know if you saw that so neocac was a a partner for a long time for Kong We we have like a joint solution where corns the new second integrate with with corn to do. Say machine learning on the on the requests and telling if it's like a malicious or maybe it's some sort of attack or whatnot. So yeah, we were that's pretty nice for them.

So now it's our comeback. Yeah new partner. Yeah new partner new new possibilities.

That's that's a lot of possibility. Yeah great company as well. Yeah.
