So, hello everyone for the Scaleup day, for ITL in organization because it we're, um, a decision is about maximizing business impact, um, using integrating IIL four with, um, emerging technology. Um, our agenda for today is, um, in today's, you know, rapidly evolving technology, um, uh, we need to align the IT L four, uh, framework, um, with various innovation, um, practices. Um, it that is very essential for organizations that nowadays striving to maintain, um, their competitive advantages and meet the evolving customer demand.
So, um, from integrating those, uh, practices with artificial intelligence and machine learning, technological, um, enhancing cybersecurity, DevOps, data analytics, um, measuring and embracing the digital transformation initiatives, um, technology disruption organization are leveraging their IT IL four to optimize the service delivery and operational, um, efficiency. Um, also for IT l maturity model, um, uh, capacity assessment that provides organization with a valuable insight into their current IT service management. So, um, I am husam cousin.
Um, I am an IT IL four, um, master and maturity model assessor. And, uh, I have four practices, um, manager with over, uh, 20 years experience in telecommunication ICT field. Um, I've been with ITIL since 2010, my first foundation certification.
And, um, now, um, I'm impressed that, um, I've awarded a ITL ambassador, uh, certification from people, sir, before ITIL, um, practices. Um, IL four now, um, align, uh, more than 34 is about 34 of the practices in IL four, the new version. So these practices aim to help the organization to align their IT services with their business needs, improve the service delivery, and optimize the, um, their IT operation as well.
ITL four introduce, um, those, uh, uh, practices with a more holistic, uh, approach to service management. Um, now, uh, these ITL four practices are designed to be more flexible and scalable, allowing the organization to adapt and tailor them to their specific needs and requirements. Um, now they're, uh, 15 of those practices now be one of, um, uh, one of the exam exam certifications that you can be, um, specialized in one of those, like monitoring, support, fulfillment and plan, improve and control, collaborate should and improve.
So, um, the aim of this presentation is try to, um, looking for a ways how we can integrate the Ike health practices with other innovation technologies. Let's have an example of one of the, um, uh, those technologies is a artificial intelligence and machine learning. So, um, by aligning the IT L four framework, um, with the, uh, AI and machine learning technologies, we can enhance, um, the IT service management practices, um, driving operational, uh, efficiency and, uh, delivering business value.
So, um, as example, uh, in the service desk automation, we can, uh, involve the implementing of the, uh, uh, artificial intelligence, um, that powered by, uh, like example chatbot or a virtual, um, agents for routine tasks like incidents, logging or request fulfillment or, um, any, something, anything that the, the desk can, um, can be responsive for, um, reducing, um, the staff time so they can do, um, more human, um, tasks and activities. And, uh, in predictive analytics of, uh, the capacity management, we utilize the capacity management, um, practices with the machine learning, um, algorithm, uh, to analyze as example historical data, predicting future IT resources and minimize, uh, impact, um, and improves, uh, service, uh, reliability for incident prediction and, uh, prevention. Um, we can use, uh, ai, um, technologies to analyze data pattern, identify, um, potential, uh, issues, uh, before they occur, or, uh, minimize, uh, their impact.
Um, for the service performance optimization, we can employ, um, artificial intelligent driven analytics, uh, for real time, um, monitoring and analysis of, uh, the service performance matrix. Identify where is, where is the bottlenecks, um, where if there is any issue or abnormalities to optimize the service delivery for, um, automation of the service, um, of the change management processes. As example, we can implement ai, uh, driven automation for a streamlining, um, uh, the change, um, assessment as example or acceleration, the approvals of the change delivery while, uh, maintaining compliance with, um, minimizing the risks.
Also, we can, um, uh, use the self-healing systems, uh, for automation is a problem resolution, um, aligning with, uh, problem, um, management practice and incident management practices. Um, uh, we can have like AI power these algorithms leveraging the machine learning technique to accelerate the problem resolution or, um, minimizing the downtime. Also for the cybersecurity, we can align, um, the ITIL framework with the cybersecurity principles and practices.
So organization can enhance their overall, their overall, uh, security and incidents, um, response to d downtime and mitigates the cybersecurity risk, um, uh, hacking and, uh, more efficiently by aligning this practices with, uh, ITIL and as example from the incorporating cybersecurity risk management practices, uh, into the ITL framework to identify and assess and manage, uh, security risk through the life cycle of the services. Also, by establishing a process of procedures within ITL for managing security incidents, we can include like, uh, logging, uh, categorization prioritization solution, and implementing of, um, the flow, uh, the workflow and for timely communication and coordination with, um, other parties. Also, um, accessing, um, the access management and control, um, measurement in, uh, in the security management practices as well, um, is, uh, is, uh, vital for the IT effort to enforce, um, how those practices and principles and prevent, um, unauthorized, uh, access to sensitive information and, um, and sensitive resources through defining, uh, policies for, for the access for conducting regular reviews and, um, authentication, authentication, um, mechanism, um, for the service design practice or from the service, um, design point of view, um, within IT, for it should be integrated with a security requirement and control.
Um, but finally, with establishing like a, a governance, um, structure and processes within the IL we can ensure there is a compliance with, uh, cybersecurity regulations and standards. And, um, overall the industry best practices through defining the what, what are the policies, uh, proceed for the control to me that, um, regulatory for the DevOps, uh, we aim to align the IAF four framework with the DevOps practices and principles. Um, it can enable the organization to achieve, um, a greater agility, uh, collaboration and efficiency in delivery of the ITL service in general.
Um, also as IL best practices for the service management, it is, uh, very crucial, uh, to, to, to seamless, uh, those integration with, uh, DevOps, um, initiative through the existing IT agile for processes, um, and practices as example in the, in, in, in the DevOps, we can rely on, uh, incorporating the agile practices, um, agile practices like, um, uh, um, iterative, uh, development time, boxing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and, uh, how we can streamlining the service delivery and, um, accelerate the time to market. Also, we can use the DevOps practice, such as, um, shift left, uh, testing and continuous testing, um, more integrated to the ITL framework. Uh, uh, especially, uh, among those practices is a service design, um, is a service design.
We, uh, and also in the transition, um, period for, for any services we can embed, um, that with the quality testing, with that definition of done activities and, uh, for infrastructure as a code, um, principles in the DevOps, uh, it can be adopted also by the ITIL configuration management. Um, ITIL, um, uh, it asset management practices as well to manage the infrastructure resources, um, to ensure the consistent, um, repeat, we can have a repeatable processes for a scalable infrastructure, um, uh, the provisioning and management of the services. Um, also DevOp practices can integrated, uh, into the ITIL, uh, in term of transition and automation of the software deployment.
We can use still the deployment, um, management. We can use the release management, um, configuration management. All of this can be, um, uh, can be integrated using tools like, uh, deploying, deploying, um, pipeline.
Um, we can use a cannot really, really releases as well. And for the feedback loops and continuous improvement, uh, there should be a mechanism, um, uh, like is, uh, should be established within the IT L four to leverage the, the, the DevOps principles such as continuous feedback and learning optimization and enhancing the services based on monitoring, testing and, uh, user feedback. Um, also, um, one of the principles in the DevOps is side, uh, reliability engineer, S-R-I-S-R-E.
Um, this principles, uh, can be also integrated with the ITL four to enhance the service, um, uh, reliability. And, um, also it can be aligning with the practices in ITL, like availability management, that like capacity management as well to ensure that the services is still, um, has a, a resilience and scalable, um, services. Um, another, um, emerging technologies we can lay on is a cloud cloud computing.
So, um, by aligning, um, the IT a l um, framework with cloud computing principles and, and practices, we, uh, we can enable more and more organizations to benefit from cloud technology while while upholding still is alignment with a it, um, it L four, um, service management best practices. However, um, it is very important that we can still ensure there is still, um, um, aligning with the process and, and streamlining the processes, um, in the cloud. Um, computing, um, as example we can have like IT l services strategy practice, um, which is clearly defined, um, the objectives, the requirement, um, as example the business case, um, for leveraging the cloud services.
Also within the service design practices, organizations adopt the cloud native, um, design principles, um, designing applications and services within that scalability, uh, resilience and elasticity of the, of the services in mind. This is very crucial, um, when we use, um, utilize as a cloud native platform, um, microservices, uh, ization and, um, uh, and, uh, also, um, technologies, um, emerging technologies like, uh, Kubernetes or, uh, Docker as example. And, um, for optimizing the cloud resources, we can still utilize the cost through the effective demand management practices within the IT IL framework by monitoring and analyzing the consumption pattern.
And, uh, we can, uh, adjust the, the capacity and implement cost optimization in the services as well. Uh, for the change management practices and the IL, we can integrate it to cloud deployment process within the IL we can implement the standardized processes, um, deployment configuration, um, update it, uh, to the cloud resources. Um, also, um, adapting incident and problem management, um, within IT help to address the cloud specific issues, um, that can be emerged from time to time.
We can, uh, try to find where is, uh, problem, uh, the issues, the root causes and, uh, analysis. It is very important that, uh, we can, how we can utilize the data analytics, especially, um, emerging technologies like a big data, how we can align the ITIL framework with, um, with the data, uh, analytics, uh, uh, practice and principles to, to, to benefit from, um, those practices. Aligning the I four framework with the data analytics and big data principles empowers the organization to utilize, uh, data more efficiently.
Um, like, um, the, the, the decision making, uh, as examples can enhance the service delivery, uh, foster, um, innovation and growth. Uh, it is important to, uh, seamlessly integrate the data initiative into the existing IDIL framework as example in the IDL, uh, service design, uh, practices. We can, um, focus on designing a services with consideration for the data collection analysis, reporting for the data, using techniques like data modeling and visualization.
And, uh, for the IAL, uh, for, um, introducing the service validation and testing practices, we can still, um, use these practices when we focusing on, on validating new or changed services, um, specific to a, a new platform as example by adopting processes, um, to support the data integration and data integration initiatives. Um, but it facilitates, uh, the smooth, um, uh, adaptation of, uh, the, of those integration of the data sources and migration of the assets to a new platform as exam. Um, also for the, uh, continuous improvement practices, we can embrace those practices with the it.
L four, um, is allow organization to enhance the data analytics capabilities over the time by collecting, um, like example feedbacks, analyzing performance metrics and optimizing the data models, um, uh, algorithm work workflows. Um, all of these techniques can, can be also, um, integrated. Establishing the knowledge management practices within framework, um, is work, uh, very well when we are aimed to enable the, the capturing, uh, of the, of the lessons, sharing and leveraging the insights from data and analytics, the trends and the big data initiatives.
Um, those informations, um, are, uh, asset for our future decision making, um, processes. Also for the digital transformation, we aim to align the IT a l framework with the digital transformation principles and practices and enable or more and more organization to accelerate their digital journey. Um, there is always new opportunities, uh, here and there for innovation and growth and, uh, uh, the aim of the organization is to, to, to get and, um, to find where those opportunities and how they can exploit it.
Um, as example we can still utilize from the I AIR four services strategy, we can always define, um, how the digital, um, technologies can advance the business objectives, um, how the digital technologies can enhance the customer experience and the competitive advantages for the organization. And within the service design practices, we can adopt practices, list practices to, to, to support the journey of the, of the digital solution development. Um, involving, like example, designing the services within the digital user interfaces.
Um, as example in the banking system, we can still use the mobile access. More and more organization now have more and more apps and, um, depend on the cloud-based delivery models, um, prioritize, uh, usability, accessibility and scalability of the services. And also during that transition of the services, uh, still we can relay on practices like deployment, service validation, release management.
So the planning and executing of digital transformation, um, initiative is always require a coordination for the roll out of the, uh, digital, uh, technologies and application. Um, we need also to make this integration, um, going very smooth. So with minimal disruption of course, to the, to the operation, uh, environment, um, for the, uh, integration with the chain management practices as well.
So, uh, always the digital transformation is a means of, um, you know, introducing a change to the organization in terms of their, how, how they doing their businesses. So within IL, um, we can still, um, adopt any new digital innovation, uh, initiative into the IL framework, uh, involving the implementation of the standardized, how, how we can standardize the, uh, or the digitalization of, of, uh, of the services. Um, in term of procedures, uh, how we can introduce the new digital technologies processes, um, framework, um, model, um, workflow, um, should be aligned, uh, with the goal of the organization and minimize the risks.
Also, we can embrace, uh, in to continuous improvement, um, practices with it. IL to optimize, um, the digital services and capabilities over time by collecting example feedbacks, uh, analyzing performance metrics and identify, identify, um, opportunities for, um, enhancing the digital, uh, solutions. And finally, we can in incorporate digital governance and compliance, um, considering into the IL framework, like, uh, implementing policies, uh, implementing controls, uh, process, how we can, um, uphold the data, privacy, security, regulatory.
Um, all of this can be integrated, uh, seamlessly into litigative, uh, governance and, uh, compliance. Also, we can, um, uh, relay on the technology disruption. Um, no, there is no organization, uh, cannot face any kind of, uh, disruption in the technology in, in its domain.
So aligning the IT help, uh, for, um, framework with the technology disruption there, there should be on strategies enabling the organization to and adopt, um, the increasing dynamic, uh, movement and the competitive, um, advantages for their business. Um, environment, however, uh, is always, is one of the good practices that, um, the processes of IAL four should be, um, flexible and adaptive and responsive to change in, in the market conditions. Um, so in that, we can relay on, um, incorporating strategies for anticipating and monitoring the disruption, uh, technologies into the IT services strategy practice.
Um, in the service strategy practices, we can do that by example, um, establishing processes for, um, for scanning, um, the technology landscape where, uh, that technology come from, uh, how it's emerged and identify the emerging trends and assessing their potential impact on our business. Um, also in the operation environment. Um, within the VIS portfolio management, we aim to integrate the innovation initiative, prioritize, uh, prioritize those initiatives, um, uh, representing the disruptive technology, um, like cloud computing, uh, artificial intelligence, uh, uh, blockchain, um, internet of things, um, to, to drive business value and competitive advantages.
Um, also we can integrate the chain management practices of the IT IL into the, into the technology. Um, we can adopt, uh, processes, um, within the IT IL framework. Uh, we can ensure there is always a standard procedures for the change management for introducing the disruptive technology, uh, into the production environment.
As example, um, aligning with the business objectives, minimizing continuous improvement practices also can be, uh, fosters here, uh, for the agility for the innovation response to the technology disruption within the IT l framework. Um, we can, uh, rely on, um, making, um, feedback, um, analyze the performance metrics, identify opportunities for, um, enhancing any IT services. It is a, a good, uh, one of the good practices here.
Uh, I have, uh, seen in the website of, uh, people search, uh, now more and more, uh, organizations since last, uh, June, uh, 2023, there a program here about accredited tools for the vendor. Uh, this name accredited vendor, um, accredited tool vendors programs. Um, now, um, more and more, uh, vendors can be accredited by the people search for their platforms, for their services.
So, um, I don't, uh, I don't have like, uh, exact number of how many of them now accredited, but, um, I still remember in the early, uh, adoption of this, um, program In the first one, uh, in the first, uh, two months, I think there is about, um, 20 something of vendors. So team vendors really accredited for, uh, the program. Uh, now, uh, I think the number may be doubled, um, maybe two or three times.
Uh, I hope so. So always if we see there is, um, a lot of emerging, uh, vendors with their platform for technologies can help organization streamlining their ITIL, um, practices more and more, um, into their organization. Um, I hope that, um, uh, if I, if I know, uh, exactly the number, um, for, for the marketing reason, uh, I don't show some of those, um, vendors, but, uh, I still, I can see it's, uh, very good practices to announce that year or to show, um, them, uh, this program here, um, as well.
Uh, finally, uh, I want to to to share with you something about the IAL, uh, capability model be because it is, uh, crucial for the organization. It's, uh, very vital for the organization before, uh, trying to adopt or adapt any framework, um, uh, and align it with the IAL practices. We should ensure perfectly that we have, um, a strong, um, um, model for the operating model for the IKL, including, um, practices as well.
Um, we should ensure that, uh, those, um, models are, are still, um, can benefit the organization. One of those models, uh, recently adopted by the ITL is the ITL ability model itself, um, which is, um, uh, a maturity model and capability assessment for the organization in how they can use their frameworks of, um, how they can evaluate the organization level of maturity and capability in the implementing of IL practices. Um, especially because, uh, this presentation actually focus on the, the practices among the other framework, um, capability of the ITL.
Uh, so this model typically consists of several states or levels through which, um, an organization can count is progress toward, uh, the improvement. So, um, as example the, these levels, um, level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, um, this level often range from the initial or ad hoc processes to more optimized and fully integrated of those practices into the organization. So, um, this model assess the various aspects of the ITIL services management, like continuous improvement governance operating model to determine the organization maturity level in adopting the ITIL.
So, um, the interesting thing about this model when, when we are talking about the practices is a capability assessment. So in the capability assessment, we can assess our capabilities, uh, sorry, assess our practices on, um, focusing on the, how we can evaluate the organization capability to perform specific tasks. The inside IL practices, um, may be primary, uh, uh, practices or secondary practices or supporting practices such as incident management, change management, service level, um, management and others using number of, um, SPF success practice factor, um, designed for the purpose of the, of that assessment.
This is all what I have, uh, to share, uh, with you. And, um, just to conclude that, uh, aligning the IKL four framework with the various innovation, um, practices, technologies, has become essential nowadays for the organization to strive and maintain competitive and meets evolving, uh, customer demand. So, uh, this integration, uh, not, um, only enhance the ITL uh, service management practices, but also ensure always there is a, a seamless, um, adoption of, um, of the technology.
Um, thank you once again for joining me and let's make up, um, the skill update, a memorable and enriching experience. Thank you to.
