This is Textron TV. Hello, I'm Amanda. Rosani here for Textron TV.
And I'm excited to be here today with Deebo Ray. He is the co-founder and CEO of Dev zero. How are you doing today?
I'm doing fantastic Amanda. Thank you so much for having me. Thank you for being here.
Can you share a little bit about yourself and your company? Yes, so, my name is Diego as you mentioned. I'm the go founder and CEO of depth zero at Dev Studio essentially building production like environments for engineers to write code and to test within a lot of these lessons for me came from my past experience of being an infrastructure engineer for six years at Uber.
So I'm essentially trying to generalize a lot of those learnings at depth, you know. Wonderful. So I understand you have some funding news to share with us.
Could you share that with us today? Yes, so we recently we are announcing a 26 million dollar series seed and a series a fundraising the goal for this for raising this capital for us is to essentially grow the team a little bit our primarily focused on the product and Engineering side as well. the good markets Express and what are your expectations now that you have this funding you have some goals?
the goal number one is to get that zero into the hands of more Engineers around the world because we see this whole A bunch of issues around the local software development process that's essentially impacting a lot of Enterprise Engineers across the world. So our goal number one for us is getting density into the hands of as many people as possible. And what it do you have any future plans outside of can you share your next couple of goals after that?
Yeah, so essentially right now our main target is to get it into the hands of Engineers. Number one then making death 0 successful in the hands of a few of the larger companies because mainly what we see is as a company is hiring more engineers in the internal engineer infrastructure is becoming more complex. That's where really shines so bring out those two things in the hands of more and more customers will be the goal after that here.
fantastic So I understand also that you just recently made available. A developer platform. Can you share more about this?
Yeah, so essentially what we see in the market and is like microservices are the new thing in software developmentally because it helps engineering teams operate faster, but fundamentally, it also comes the cost of certain local development challenges. So Del zeros development platform essentially aims to solve these local development issues by moving fundamentally software development to the cloud regardless of whether a company is on using kubernetes or certain serverless infrastructures, or even if they're voting in monoliths are there zeros are platform will enable every engineer at the company to have their very own production like environments. I know that's so important is more companies and do these dig.
ital information initiatives Everything is going to the cloud and it's important to have more efficiency. Exactly and especially in the times that we are in today. We are fundamentally resource constraint, right and as a result it's imperative for us to make sure our engineering teams are only focusing on the revenue generating aspects of the business.
So I think that's where that's how we are in for Deaf zero to provide value to our customers. How many current companies you're working? with or so we have a couple of them.
Let's learn our website as well right now. com is a company. They essentially sell warranties for them.
They had a bunch of challenges around their use of service technologies that we were able to solve it. That's 0 and other companies during calm. So for them again, it was around onboarding engineers and essentially getting them up and running as fast as possible and then helping them maintain their environments on a daily basis.
excellence Well, is there anything else you'd like to share with us today? I think yeah, this is this is all I have to share and I'm very excited for the next couple of years of death 0 as we get this and the hands of more and more people out there. Definitely what congratulations Diva wish you the best.
Can't wait to see where this goes and stay tuned for more from Tech strong TV coming up.
