Alienware Gaming Innovations with Dell Technologies’ Javier Davalos

Hi everyone. I'm Bonnie Schneider at Emer America 2024 in Miami. And joining me now is Javier Davalos to talk about Alienware.

But what, what is it about Alienware that's distinctive for gamers? I, I don't do gaming, so I dunno much about it. Sure.

So Alien where we use the latest and greatest, obviously, but it's our design, our design language that really stands out with our community. And above all else, we really value our community and the gaming community as a whole. We ha we are the oldest pc, uh, prebuilt PC gaming manufacturer.

We were the first to do it, and we are incredibly passionate about the entire industry. How would you say the technology has improved in gaming? I, I imagine you've been doing it for a while.

Oh, Oh, goodness. Yes. I've been with, uh, with, uh, Alienware for 20 years, so, oh, okay.

So talk about what you've seen and maybe over the, the longer haul, but also more recently. Sure. Oh man.

Uh, so back in the day, it was very difficult to build your own pc. Now it's been commoditized in such a way that really a lot of people with just watching a YouTube video could build their own pc. What really differentiate us is the ingredients that go into it.

Uh, and like I said, the design language behind it. So we optimize all our PCs for gamers and for gaming specifically. Now, back in the day, you had to do things like dip switches, things of that nature.

But now, uh, it's, uh, you got, you have to make sure the right piece matches the right components, and therefore you are not having any bottlenecks in your gameplay. Uh, and that's really how, while it's become a lot easier, it's become more accessible to people. And that, that's really exciting for us.

The more gamers, the better. It Does seem like it's just grown in popularity and there's so many people doing it. Oh, yeah.

No, I It's everywhere now. It's on your phone now. That's true.

It is. Even if you, if you want it or not, it shows up on your phone. It, it does.

Yeah. I mean, gaming culture has been so pervasive. I often joke with my wife that I was born way too early because when I fell in love with gaming, that was like a outside culture nerd thing.

Right. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah.

But now it's everywhere and I love to see it. Oh, That's great. Well, Javier, thank you so much for joining us on Techstrong tv.
