AI Copilot for Coding with CodeGPT’s Cecilia Ureta

Hi everyone. I'm Bonnie Schneider at Emer America's 2024, and today we are talking with Cecilia from Code GPT because a lot of our audience is interested in solutions for developers. And I was just speaking with Cecilia and she says that that's what they're working on too.

Cecilia, welcome to Text tv. Hi everyone. Well, we are working in a, a AI solution for developers.

It's an AI copilot that allows you to code with a company of an AI assistant. It's integrated inside a business studio code that it's a coded environment for developers. And there you can auto complete code, you can explain code refactor unit testing and much more.

Cecilia, can you talk about AI and coding because we have a lot of developers that are watching that might be interested in this. Yeah, for sure. I think ai, it's, it's a big box that a big thing that is just starting.

I think that has a lot of potential, eh, in productivity, eh, it will help developers to code faster and to don't do the, the boring stuff when you are coding and focus on more important things. Like they will do unit testing for you. Developers hate doing unit testing.

They hate to do pull requests. We will do pull requests for you with the help of ai. So basically it makes you more productive so you can focus in better things and do things that are more, more important.

Not boring stuff. So Tell me more about code GBT. Where are you based and how did you all get started?

Yeah, for sure. We are based here in Miami. We also, the founders from Chile.

So we are based in Chile. Eh, we are currently selling in 180 countries. We have active users, so it's very worldwide, eh, and we have aggressive plans of expansion here in the us That's very exciting.

Yeah, a lot of things coming, A lot of new features, new things that we are launching. We are starting to our series EA eh, in fundraising. So yeah, a lot is coming and, and it's a great product.

I think all developers should code with the company of AI because like I said, uh, it's allows you to focus on a stop that really, really generate value and the boring stop you can delegate with the help of an ai. That makes sense because we use AI right now, even if you're not a developer, you know, to, to work on the tedious tasks as well. Are you, are you a coder yourself?

Do you code? I code but very basic. I do more the business side.

I like more the business side, but I understand the code if I read it and everything. So do you find that you're one of the, and amongst your friends when you tell them what you do, being a female who, who can code? Is that an anomaly or what?

Yeah, totally abnormal. Like what are you doing? What is that tech ai like there, there are not a lot of, uh, women in, in this side of development and tech and, but it's good.

It's, it's interesting. Uh, it's a whole world that it's coming with the company of ai, so yeah. So a big opportunity That's True and you're probably encouraging more, more women to get involved in it For sure.

It's an industry that it's growing, uh, at high rates. So we need more women in, in this side of, of tech and and development because it's basically all men that are, there are few women in, in this industry, so happy, very women. That's great.

So, uh, you came in from Chile, is that where you're based? Yeah, I am originally from Chile, but I am based here in Miami. I live here in Miami, but yeah, I came in a few years ago.

So Seems Like this is a very pretty big, um, tech hub here. Yeah, for sure. I think, uh, Miami started, uh, to, it's becoming like a hub, uh, for tech companies, especially AI focus and it's the connection with Latin America.

So that's the biggest opportunity we see here in Miami. Being based in Miami. Uh, it is the, like the port of connection between Latin America and the us.
